New-look Living Reading site launches
Living Reading relaunched earlier this month, and it’s an improvement on the former site. Funded by the Reading Marketing Group, the site aims to be:
the one place everybody heads when they need information on visiting, doing business or even moving to Reading.
I would suggest to interested parties that they also visit Reading Forum, Reading Chronicle and Evening Post websites (especially the former) for different perspectives, in addition to Living Reading.
What are your thoughts on the new Living Reading site (I’ve got nothing to do with this, by the way)?

All things considered, I think it’s a pretty decent effort. It’s quite formal and corporatey, but then I guess it’s aimed at businesses as much as us individuals.
Good photography too - they’ve somehow managed to make the attractive bits stand out and remove any ugliness!
Now, how about a more informal, blog-style equivalent - maybe a bit like Londonist?
Yep, still keen on the Londonist idea. Currently working on a proposal that I will share with you over the next week or so (over a beer, naturally). Interested in your thoughts.
All show and no substance.
That said, given the many problems which exist in this town it’s not exactly a dream marketing job for a top pro and I’m not surprised it’s lacking in imagination and usability.
Still I’d be interested to see it’s model and what goals the financiers hope it can achieve.
