Ah, the Pheasant. 1 out of 10 seems overly harsh, as I have spent many a fun night in there. I can understand that the combination of unfriendly regulars, a fierce alsatian roaming around the place and bare wires poking out of the wall near the pool table may put the casual punter off a little. But get beyond those and you’ll find yourself with the chance to buy stolen goods at knock down prices in no time at all. The most unusual item I was offered by a fellow drinker was, believe it or not, a water spout. Yes, the pissed-up bloke watching the racing really did think that my friend and I had wandered in there with the intention of purchasing a water feature for the garden.
