I went there a few times while it was still under the direction of AWT and my feeling was that he over-egged the pudding on many of the dishes - with the exception of the sausages and mash dish, which was a glorious creation. Generally though it's not necessary to fussify a good, English Roast... why gild the lily? But I nonetheless always enjoyed The Lamb and thought it a fine pub.
