		<description>I spent the first 25 years of my life in Reading prior to emigrating to Canada in 1982. Your observations are bang on. The only comment I would addititonal comparison I would add is &quot;time to enjoy life&quot; and history. 

The average vacation allowance is 3 weeks per year. Many people start at 2 and max out at 4. We also get 9 &quot;statutory&quot; days off as well. 

History....well when I lived in the UK I took for granted its history. But since I have moved away, I really began to appreciate admiring the &quot;old world&quot;, where there is ahistory of more than 140 years!</description>
