Your observations are bang on. The only comment I would addititonal comparison I would add is "time to enjoy life" and history. The average vacation allowance is 3 weeks per year. Many people start at 2 and max out at 4. We also get 9 "statutory" days off as well. History....well when I lived in the UK I took for granted its history. But since I have moved away, I really began to appreciate admiring the "old world", where there is ahistory of more than 140 years!
